Blood Ties
Tiana Onimole
“Blood Ties” traces a day in the life of a sickle cell patient as they undergo a blood exchange treatment, transforming a medical procedure into a poignant performance. Through quiet moments of waiting, the rhythmic pulse of transfusion, and the subtle choreography of care, the piece captures the cyclical nature of illness and endurance. As fresh blood flows in, exhaustion meets renewal, revealing an intimate portrait of resilience, vulnerability, and the unseen bonds that sustain life.
